A Renaissance square with a Baroque fountain, a plague column and a unique tomb of the aristocratic family of Dietrichstein is situated literally a few steps from Moravia pension. From the old town square you can take a pleasant stroll which will take you up the hill to Mikulov chateaux with its historic expositions and then descend to the Jewish quarter with a synagogue and a unique cemetery. All the sights are open to public and they are definitely worth seeing.

Mikulov and the surrounding is a cultural landscape with many sites under the protection of UNESCO: Pálava National Nature Reserve and Lednice-Valtice Area cultural landscape. Several tourist hiking paths and cycling tracks cross through the town and there are dozens of tracks with various difficulty levels in the surroundings.

The region newly offers wine paths with a visit to wine cellars.
